52 Weeks of Life Seen Through My Eyes

Ida's Photo Theme Challenge

Week 20 #43. Single Tree

“I think that I shall never see

A poem lovely as a tree…” ~Joyce Kilmer

No matter whether trees have leafy arms, denuded limbs, or branches adorned with blossoms lifted to the heavens,  they are fascinating and beautiful, each in its own unique way.

Finding a single tree in Panama without an abundance of others crowding in on its space, can be a challenge. However, the area in which we live is rocky, sustaining high winds for the first 3 months of each year, and is not as hospitable an environment compared to the lush green jungles of this tropical country. One evening while admiring the pretty skies, I was able to isolate a couple of bare trees, their entangled limbs stretching upwards and creating interesting foregrounds.

  1. Nice job Ida — there is nothing quite like the beauty of a single tree
