Ida's Photo Theme Challenge

Week 15 #8. Common Cliché Phrase

This photograph has been idling in a folder for months, awaiting adjustments to the story behind the building of a beautiful, unique home. The owner originally told me the house is a small-scale version of a castle he favors in England. This one, complete with moat, stands on a hill with spectacular views of the mountains and valley of Boquete. Since I’ve recently been informed by his wife that the tale is frequently altered to suit her husband’s storytelling mood, it’s time to simply say that “A man’s home is his castle” and, in this particular instance, “A man’s castle is his home”.

If you yearn to make a castle in Boquete, Panama your home, it is for sale. Any takers?

  1. Clever! – you should be in real estate – or they should be using your photo in the brochure to sell their house/castle! what a gorgeous setting.

    • It didn’t seem to match another theme, Susan, and I really liked the photo and its unique character. We were driving to the grocery store when, out of the blue, I asked my husband, “Isn’t there a common cliché about a man’s home and castle?” That was it then…a match! Funny how the mind works. 🙂

  4. I can only imagine the view from there. How many square feet, when was it built, and why is he selling? Can you tell I’m a realtor? 🙂
