As anyone who has been following my theme challenge blog may have noticed, I’ve been out of commission for a while. As other bloggers have left me far behind, I’m making a real effort to renew my enthusiasm and catch up. My archives didn’t hold much promise to satisfy the “Rows” theme. So I took a closer look at my environment and opted to stick close to home.
My passion for needlework began during my school years and really blossomed after I completed my first tablecloth as a requirement for a Home Economics class. Since then, I have threaded multiple needles with hundreds of different colors on a variety of fabrics with projects ranging in size from tiny beaded Christmas ornaments to full size tablecloths. I have gifted some and kept some. I’ve spent an astounding number of hours counting even-weave fabric threads, carefully following patterns, and completing rows and rows of stitches to paint pictures using every color of the rainbow.
I have several completed projects that have not been framed and one that has been in the works for a couple of years. I chose a few to photograph so I could share those “Rows And Rows Of…”

Excellent. I love the close ups and you have a steady needle.
I have a number of needle works on my walls and in my friend’s home. I have a closet full of “future projects” that unfortunately will probably never happen. Aging has a way of taking away some of our joys.
Glad to have you back.

Ah, another needlework enthusiast! Like you, I have many, many future projects. I drool over some of the patterns and ideas that several boxes contain. I have to admit that the eyesight is just not what it used to be and makes the needlework more challenging. I’m not going to give up! 🙂

Well, I better get a move on. The inspiration is still floating around out there somewhere. I haven’t managed to completely harness it, but at least I’m trying. Thanks, Mindy! 🙂
